The perfect way to spend a day, get away from the city and explore the
Beautiful Kentish Weald through the eyes of some of the local gardeners.
An opportunity to chat to a gardener and enjoy lunch or afternoon tea at
a traditional Wealden cottage. Sue Eldridge will act as your companion
and guide and pass on to you her love of the English countryside and the
pleasures of gardening on an intimate scale.
A different world just 30 minutes from London by train, tours start at
Sevenoaks Station and we take the slow route to the destination gardens
enjoying spectacular views over ancient wooded areas. Sue will select
the best gardens for the day from a large portfolio of small local
gardens but if you have any special interests in garden design or
planting styles please let us know as soon as possible.
Tour A (Full
day) 4 private gardens. Picnic box lunch at Benchmark Cottage £80.00
per person Tour B(Half Day) 2 private gardens. Picnic box OR
Afternoon tea at Benchmark Cottage £65.00 per person.
Price includes all transport to and
from Sevenoaks Station, any entry charges, afternoon tea or lunch box.
If you would like to explore the area further we can put together 1 or 2
day tours just for you and arrange bed and breakfast accommodation if
you require.
NT properties nearby include Knole Park, Chartwell, Emmetts Garden,
Ightham Mote. Penshurst Place and Hever Castle are not NT properties but
are a short journey away and well worth a visit.
